Becky Motivates LLC is the heartbeat of a movement led by Becky Jackson Curran, a disability inclusion advocate, speaker, and mother whose life has been shaped by resilience and purpose. Born with achondroplasia, Becky has spent her career challenging societal perceptions and advocating for authentic representation of people with disabilities.
Her journey took a profound turn with the loss of her infant son, a life-altering experience that deepened her commitment to creating spaces where grief, joy, and identity can coexist. This personal chapter fuels her work, reminding audiences that inclusion is not just about visibility, it’s about humanity.
Through consulting, speaking, podcasting, and guest appearances, Becky empowers organizations and individuals to move from awareness to action. With over 600 talks delivered across three continents, and the founding of DisABILITY In Media, her voice continues to inspire change.
Becky Motivates LLC is more than a business. It’s a story of reframing, healing, and transformative understanding, inviting everyone to join the journey toward acceptance and belonging.
When was your lightbulb moment?
My lightbulb moment came when I realized that even as an assistant in Hollywood, my story mattered, and people wanted to hear it. That realization sparked a mission to shift how society sees disability, grief, and belonging.
What are your three words of advice?
Anything is possible.
No matter your title, your story, or your challenges, your voice matters. Keep showing up. Keep believing. Because anything is possible.
