Tell us a little something about your business...
I create acrylic original art that emanates joy, colour, and inspiration from any wall in a home. It’s abstract/surrealism art with some nature-based landscapes, that will truly rejuvenate your soul and re-connect you with your divine self.
As well as creating art, I have written a book called, The Empowered Creator. Throughout my personal development journey, I became aware of everything that I had overcome as an artist, and decided to create a book to help artists and creators to rise to their full potential as well!
The Empowered Creator is a journey to ultimately, empower artists and creators to bring out the bravery, boldness, and confidence within them, so that they will see their worth and potential.
Throughout the book is my 4 I’s Framework (Imagination, Inspiration, Intuition, and Ignite). I have developed this framework so that each section builds upon itself to bring out the empowered creator that’s already within you!
The book is truly a guide to help you discover your purpose so that you can live a fulfilling and joyful life!
It will help you push past perfectionism, judgement, opinions, social standards, fear, self-doubt, and more! This will allow you to develop confidence within!
You will gain positive perspective and learn to think and take creative, inspired, and aligned actions.
By saying artists and creators, I believe that we are all the creators of our lives, and it starts within our imaginations! I believe that everyone has a beautiful imagination and can truly discover their creative side, and make the world a more joyful place overall!
All-in-all, The Empowered Creator will encourage you to discover, and live as your divine self!
When was your lightbulb moment?
My lightbulb moment was when I was invited to a personal development training called, “Ignite your Calling,” by Kathleen Cameron. That was my very first introduction to the personal development world and I was just amazed by what I was hearing. While completing the workbook, I was trying to relate my answers to the cleaning job I was doing at the time; but every question made me think of my art (which I was doing just as a hobby at the time).
After digging more into the personal development world, I started to reflect back to the questions from that first training I had joined. As I was looking through, it hit me! I was trying so hard to resist and relate the questions to my cleaning position that I was completely disregarding what I am actually meant to be doing with my life! My calling is my art! I am an artist, and I am meant to create, empower, and bring so much colour, inspiration, and joy to the world!
What are your three words of advice?
I truly believe that we all have the power to consciously create our lives, and it starts within our imaginations. Everyone has a beautiful imagination and it is one of our higher faculties of thinking. If you think about it, everything around you right now, say, your computer, laptop, phone, mug, picture frame, window, and anything else you see, all started within someone’s imagination, before it was created in the physical world. We can imagine what we would love for our lives to look like! That’s where most people stay though, is just in the imagining and dreaming stage, and they don’t have the courage to put their dreams into action. We’re so used to being stuck in a mindset of what our lives are “supposed” to look like: going to college/university and then getting a job/career in that field. Very few people realize that they are stuck in this limiting way of thinking and are genuinely not living their life purpose. BUT, the people who choose to live outside the status quo, and have the courage to take actions towards their dreams, are the one’s living their purpose and living a genuine and fulfilling life! I wish that for everyone: to be brave enough to do what they’re meant to do here on Earth! I truly believe that everyone deserves to be doing what they love, and they can, if they make the brave decision to do so!
