Tell us a little something about your business...
I run a business that provides two services: content marketing for business people who aim to make a difference in the world and book coaching and editing services for āØconscious entrepreneurs who seek to inspire moments of awakening in their readers. I wanted to be a writer pretty much from the time I could hold a pencil and I was āØprivileged to embark upon a career after university that gave me substantial work experiences in the fields of journalism, government and corporate communications and marketing. My dream had always been to write a novel and I eventually managed to fit that project in among the confusion of a life unfolding at what felt like the speed of sound most days! Eventually my freelance writing career married my book coaching and editing inclinations to form Crossman Communications and The Awakening Author.
When was your lightbulb moment?
Iām not sure Iāve ever had an actual light bulb moment, since Iāve always made my living as a writer, editor and marketer and my career has brought me enormous fulfillment. I see now that Iāve pretty much always been doing what presented, even when it didnāt seem logical. What has happened over the past few years, however, is that Iāve recognized how beautifully everything has been unfolding for me throughout my life. Despite perceptive chaos, I have continually experienced the birth and rebirth of new versions of myself, and I think thatās my light bulb now ā to know I am constantly in a state of curiosity over whatās going to happen next. I work with some of the worldās most fascinating and empowering people, Iāve personally written five books, Iām always learning something new, and each day is an opportunity to encounter new dimensions of who I am and who I am here to be. I am truly blessed!
