Before moving to Ontario in early March 2020 from British Columbia, I had a full time employee job in the hospitality/tourism industry at a resort as the Sales & Marketing Manager. I was at the highest position I can have in that industry for marketing. While I was thinking about taking the position I was offered, I thought… “This is it! This is why I’ve had my business for all these years. To get me this management/director salary position”. WELL! After doing that for two years, juggling daycares and nannies for my 3 kids, a business on the side, and a full time position… It was NOT what I wanted. It was a rough two years trying to do it all. So, once we moved to Ontario, I discussed with my husband that I was not going to be getting a full time job. I would just stay with the business and go full force. I just juggled all that for two years and it really didn’t work. I missed out time with my kids and my stress level was through the roof. My business has done amazing things for me and anytime I think I should be on a different path it brings me back every time. I am where I should be right now.
