Tell us a little something about your business...
360 Home + Staging, Inc. is a Senior Move Management company that focuses on adding ease and equity for Seniors who are transitioning to a smaller home. Complete services include helping Seniors plan new floor space, distributing remaining belongings, packing, move management, set up new space, preparing home for market and real estate staging.
When was your lightbulb moment?
Summer 2019: I prepared an estate home (which had not been updated in 40 years) for market and my focus was “move-in-ready”
As a Real Estate Staging Professional, you are expected to look at a home from a Buyer’s perspective.
However, with 25 years in Finance and a construction background, I made recommendations based on a Seller’s budget and adding “value” to the home because you never know who will buy the home.
I disposed of the belongings, completed any repairs and updates and staged the home.
The home sold in 5 days with 9 offers and the return on investment for the Sellers was 600%-groundbreaking for the neighbourhood. That was my aha moment. I thought to myself “Seniors are walking away from equity in their home. “
What are your three words of advice?
Certified, licensed, insured. These three words of advice are for Seniors who are moving and questions they need to ask before inviting someone into their home.
Are they certified in working with the elderly?
Are they a licensed contractor?
Can they provide a Certificate of Insurance or Police Check?
Many Seniors do not know which questions to ask because they are unaware of what services may exist. These three words matter to me because when working with the vulnerable sector, a company that exhibits compassion, care and dignity will understand transparency.
Three words of advice...
