Tell us a little something about your business...
My belief is that no matter what happened to us in life, there comes a time when we need to step up and take full responsibility for our well-being. We need to look at our history and heal all of the abuse, hurt, and confusion one by one. We need to search for a way to thrive — not just survive.
My desire is that my own journey of healing from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse encountered in my childhood will inspire many others to heal themselves by showing them an example of what is possible when one is committed.
As I progressed on my path and purpose as business coach and energy healer, I realized that although I love helping adults claim back their power I would love to provide assistance to teens who have been abused. My intention is to provide horse-assisted healing and loving community so they don’t have to fumble through life and not know their innocence and worth. As a result I created Irinuca -Child Innocence foundation to do that.
Our mission is to help abused children ages 12 to 20 evolve from being emotionally traumatized to becoming truly free, empowered, and confident in their future and to know how to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Right now I am raising funds to legally register this foundation as a not-for-profit and provide some group experiences for children as early as this summer. When was your lightbulb moment?
In my late 20’s I immigrated to Canada, thinking that if I put an ocean between me and my abusive family of origin, I could escape the influences of my childhood. I would finally be free!
I did not find the freedom I was seeking. Unbeknownst to me, I carried all the chains with me. All the bad words and the ugly labels were engraved in my memory. The wounds of the physical beating still burned my flesh. Ropes of guilt tied my hands behind my back and shame drowned my true voice.
Despite my worldly success I felt unhappy, pushed by life, misunderstood and on the brink of burnout.
I realized that for me to become truly free, I needed to heal. I realized that I needed to go deep inside myself and undo all that had been done to me, to shine the light of understanding in all the dark corners of my subconscious mind, to cut the heavy ties and tend to my deep wounds.
What are your three words of advice?
Heal – No matter what happened to you there is a path to freedom, purpose and achievement. You can heal.
Thrive – People who were abused tend to be happy surviving only because of what happened to them. I say go higher, seek to thrive. You will release the victim consciousness and you will find true fulfillment
Purpose – You matter, you are worthy, your unfortunate situation can be turned around into a purpose-driven business that will help others suffer less or get the things that you did not get when you were like them.
