Debbie Van Camp

Born in Edmonton , I held very unique roles in the corporate sector, from The Edmonton Oilers, to the Lotteries, to Global TV. I moved to Calgary in 1997, with an opportunity with a charity in which a board role turned into a dream job. I started with nothing in Calgary. I managed to engage the corporate sector, had several successful fundraisers and hired an employee to assist. CBWN is a passionate group my business and I grew from 27 to a database of over 1500 business women entrepreneurs www.cbwncanada.com

Co-Owner of CBWN Debbie Van Camp

Tell us a little something about your business...

I am the co-owner of CBWN, Connected Business Women Network, we are an inclusive business networking group that meets in person monthly in Alberta. We connect, inspire and learn from each other in these networks through a heart-centered inclusive approach. We are membership free and women can join us anytime by paying as they attend.

I am also a Stylist with Color Street, through my business Deb’s Dynamic Nails. We have nail applications that are easy, beautiful, and are made from real nail polish.

When was your lightbulb moment?

Years ago I realized I wanted more than a job. For many years I worked a full time role while building a business with a business partner. 12 years later, the fruits of our labor and one of love, have continued to be a safe place for women entrepreneurs to meet and lean on each other when they need to. Especially post pandemic

I wanted more!

What are your three words of advice?

Nimble — be able to adapt to the now
Tenacity — don’t give up
Grateful — for where and who you are
You can You will and you must

Three words of advice...
