Tell us a little something about your business...
My journey of becoming an author, tv and radio host as well as a CEO of Olive Media Network, The Entrepreneur’s Network (TEN), TNBF (2020) TV show producer and founder of International Men’s Day Canada (IMD Canada) was to fill a void. I wanted to create platforms for people to start or build their business, share their stories and have a voice. “He Has A Voice” is a tv show (2019) for men and about men and the reality is that there are not too many outlets for any of us to share who were are and hear our cries and pleas. My book, “Mrs. Fraud and You ~ Will you be the Victor or Victim when She comes Knocking” was to educate and bring awareness to all who were turning a blind eye to this epidemic of Identity Theft and Fraud. I have planted the seed and the hope for others and this journey will not end here for it will continue and paid forward for I believe in the gift and talents in others, the question is, “Do you Believe?” My graduation song was “The Impossible Dream” and if I can do it, YOU can do it!
When was your lightbulb moment?
In the summer of 2006, I was just tired and I knew that something was wrong for I had to get un-stuck. I enrolled in a real estate investing course and the journey began. My books, both written for fun, were completed in 2011, then in 2012 I became a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnotherapy for I had to find out who I was and if I was on the right path. Did I mentioned that I walked away from my very secured 8-4 J.O.B.? Yes, I did that! It seems like the best thing to do for I was no longer sick the day after. The podcast, tv and radio shows came after and again for fun. I had my own studio space and in 2014 -2015 my company was the official media company for the then Toronto Carnival My ex-business partner and I walked away from that venture in 2016. I am not sure if I would say that I pursued a leadership or mentorship role for it just happened. Looking back, I would say others saw me as a example for what they wanted in their life and the freedom to do what ever their hearts desired but did not have the strength and support to do it. Please note that by no means was this journey an easy one and I do not want to mis-guide anyone. It was and still is a winding rocky road.
