Tell us a little something about your business...
It was in 10th grade when I was playing in a volleyball tournament when I suddenly felt a period leak. I instantly lost all focus. The fear, shame and anxiety of wanting to run off the court has left a very deep scar in my memory. For those who have experienced it you know exactly what I am talking about, which is why I have designed a line of patent-pending leakproof activewear for the one in three individuals who suffer from heavy periods and other dampness issues. My goal is to take that fear and anxiety away and give people back their peace of mind and confidence to live up to their own potential.
When was your lightbulb moment?
I was having lunch with a girlfriend when she told me she too has heavy periods and now so does her teenage daughter. Up until then, I thought I was the only one who dealt with this nightmare on a monthly basis.
What are your three words of advice?
1. Intuition–trust your gut, you always know deep down inside whether something innately feels right or wrong.
2. Accountability–it’s the one thing you have complete control over when you choose to be an entrepreneur, how successful you would like to be?
3. Compassion when you act from a place of love you’ll see at the end of the day we are all after the same thing…happiness.
