Tell us a little something about your business...
I was conditioned for almost 20 years to show up as my inauthentic, lower vibration self in corporate America. What this looked like in practice was that I made a lot of money, held executive titles, and consistently told to be less than. I took an intentional pause in 2022 to take a step back and assess my life, both personally and professionally. What did I really want to do? I wanted to unlock the magic in people – it’s already within them, I just need to help them see it. Thus, Unlock the Magic, LLC was born. I am a Master Certified Life Coach who helps women remember who the FUCK they are.
When was your lightbulb moment?
My lower vibration moments in the workplace bled over into my personal life. Aspects of my life that previously gave me joy, I held an empty smile for. I no longer felt gratitude for anything around me because the way in which I was supporting those aspects was creating a miserable void inside of me. I had always been conditioned to be less than, but 2022 was different – I was being made fun of for trying to make a difference in the corporate workplace, when I would stand up for someone, I was mocked and reprimanded. This feeling was familiar, in 2010, I had been abused so badly in the workplace that I attempted my own life – I felt similar unworthiness start to rise once again and I vehemently opted out. I saved my own life last year and I’m on a mission to not let one more woman succumb to environments that no longer serve her, or worse harm her. I help women take the next best step to achieve their highest self – again, it’s already within you but I amplify it.
What are your three words of advice?
You. Are. Enough. Women are asked to be less than, to allow others around them to feel comfortable. I’m here to tell you that we need you to show up as your whole, authentic self to make the change needed in humanity.
