Tell us a little something about your business...
In a busy world, full of distraction, people needing you – to make a decision, say the right thing, make their life easier/better/less complicated – I host an evening: Refueling Our Courage. Life is busy. I think we should insist on taking time to reflect, refuel and truly be selfish about our drive, determination and ultimate success. After 20 years in Corporate, thriving, serving, constantly struggling to balance life and corporate demands, travel, high expectations and in the midst of my Dad’s battle with Cancer, I decided to step out of the “rat race” and re-prioritize. After a year of sadness, after my father’s death, I began to re-evaluate and re-build. It seemed that the universe kept encouraging me to make an impact with leaders and entrepreneurs as a fractional Human Resources consultant. In addition to HR Consultant, “Refuel Your Courage” brings together passionate, inspiring, ambitious people to share their story, replenish their courage and inspire … to regenerate our own accomplishments! … to be grateful! …to be courageous to live vibrantly, find joy, lean into discomfort to find the true happiness and be successful in our business…and in life!
When was your lightbulb moment?
I am inspired by people’s courage, personal development and great leaders. I have always been interested in thought-leaders that are successful, reading books that offer keys to high achievement. Often you can find me, in conversation, listening to people about their stories, their successes – personal as well as their business. It’s part of my DNA – naturally, I invest in people, advocate for them and my cheerful enthusiasm is contagious … ask my friends, family, my colleagues through my career, mentors… This year simply sparked the conversation because it’s time. I think it’s time to refuel. Re-ignite our courage, inspire another, be encouraged to live and do great things!
