Tell us a little something about your business...
Unique Boutique is my brainchild and my journey began in 1990 when I immigrated from Poland to Canada as a single mother. Initially, I sustained myself as a teacher, but my heart always yearned to express my uniqueness and creativity through the world of fashion.
Inspired by the impeccable style of my grandmother and mother, whose European flair was a constant source of admiration during my formative years, I nurtured a dream to create something of my own as a woman and an entrepreneur.
When was your lightbulb moment?
I always wanted to be independent and express my creativity and individuality. In 2000, I took a bold step and materialized my vision by establishing Unique Boutique. This venture wasn’t just about clothing; it was a culmination of my life’s journey, a tribute to my heritage, and a reflection of my relentless pursuit of creativity, self-expression and independence.
What are your three words of advice?
Let your heart lead your way. Trust your intuition. Believe in yourself – no one knows you better than yourself. I have always trusted myself and my ability to make sound decisions which has lead me to be in the right places at the right times.
