I share my layers of trauma on wordpress. The A blog abandoned abducted abused addict adhd and arrested 4x. My success I went to school to be a jail guard, ended up working as a child and youth worker for 15 years with the same agency. The last 8 years I have been working with the school board as an Educational Assistant.
I registered my own business Tree of Stars April 2017 promoting mental health awareness and addiction recovery by telling our stories through music. Hosting online wellness interviews and music performances promoting mental health awareness and addiction recovery by telling our stories. In addition connecting & sharing resources for self care & outreach supports.
When was your lightbulb moment?
Back in April 2017, I wanted to help others by sharing my story, this is definitely when I felt my purpose and passion grow more and more. I ended up speaking on international podcasts, television shows, newspaper and media magazines.
What are your three words of advice?
Selfcare- filling my own cup is so important, putting me first before others. This gives me the opportunity to give back to others when I can.
Be Kind – you really don’t know what others are going through. Everyone has a story.
Create- Embrace your hobbies and be yourself. Don’t worry about what others think of you, surround yourself with good people that want to see you grow.
