Tell us a little something about your business...
myMBA which stands for my Mom’s Best Advice (Guide to Success) is a storytelling platform for sons and daughters to tell the whole world about the difference their mom’s advice has made in their career, mindset, business, faith, relationships, finances, etc. As they share their story, they get the opportunity to honor their mom, share her wonderful advice so that others (parents and children) can learn or be inspired by it as well.
We are a socially conscious organization committed to make the world a better place through story telling, bringing inspiration, connection, and empowerment one family at a time. We share stories by people of all faiths, nationalities, ethnicities, and gender identities.
When was your lightbulb moment?
My husband often shares about his mom’s many amazing advice with me, our friends, and he often quotes his mom when he delivers speeches/conducts training at work. The golden nuggets are so good that his team now has a shared google document with all the advice given to him by his mom, which I can assume they are collecting to learn learn from it themselves, or to teach their own kids with. I started recording them too!
Something also noticeable during awards nights, the most thanked person by awardees is their Mom. Not everyone gets a chance to be on a big stage to thank and honor their mom’s contribution, so this platform got created.
What are your three words of advice?
1) Build a Team: You can only go so far doing things by yourself, or on your own. Invite people to be on your team. Hire people you need.
2) Share: – Every time you share what you’re up to (idea, business, purpose), you breathe life into it and momentum builds.  – Share whatever God given talent or idea you have, it could be a blessing to others.
3) Evolve: Learn, adapt, evolve or your business, product, idea will get stale.
