Monique McClure

Have you ever met someone and determined, “they are a lost cause”? My name is Monique McClure and I was what many would consider a hopeless case. As a result of being abandoned by my mother, I developed many toxic outlooks, behaviors and relationships in my life. My life reflected my poor decisions, the hurt and pain I felt. It wasn’t until I’d hit rock bottom, that I had to call out to God and seek His help. Through much HARD self reflection/work, facing the wounds of my past & healing relationships that were damaged,I realized it was time to take responsibility and accountability for my life.  Connect with Monique @ Activity Checklist

Tell us a little something about your business...

My business is dedicated to teaching women how to develop and execute practical and effective strategies that promote elevation in the area of their personal and self development.

When was your lightbulb moment?

I have had several lightbulb moments, but my FIRST one was when I’d hit rock bottom and got sick and tired of the cyclical trends of nothingness in my life. My relationships were poor. My self image and self esteem was low and I knew that the only way I was going to make change in my life was to “make changes” in my life. That’s when I knew I had to be determined to learn more, search for more and WORK for more in my life.

What are your three words of advice?

Grace-we must learn to have grace with ourselves during our journey called life. Without having the grace we need to mess up, learn, grow, and evolve; it is impossible extend that grace to others.
Intention-we must be intentional about facing the “hard facts” about ourselves and intentional about the work it takes to grow beyond our right now.
Elevation-Elevation means something different to everyone, but at the root of it’s meaning, you find actions that must be taken in order to move to another level in life.
