Tell us a little something about your business...
Located in Paris, Ontario, my business is a testament to three generations of artistic passion and entrepreneurial spirit. As a third-generation artist, I own and operate the Taren White Gallery in the heart of Paris, showcasing breathtaking artworks and supporting talented Canadian artists. However, my influence extends beyond the physical space of the gallery, as I am also the founder of an online platform that connects art lovers from around the world with captivating Canadian fine artists. With over two decades of experience as a website developer and a specialization in branding, I offer my freelance services to clients seeking to establish an online presence. Whether I’m wielding a paintbrush or crafting digital masterpieces, the joy of creation knows no bounds for me.
When was your lightbulb moment?
One of my most profound lightbulb moments came when I embraced the art of surrendering within my business. As someone who constantly seeks knowledge and thrives on personal growth, I discovered the immense power and beauty of letting go. While I remain proactive, continuously taking action and nurturing new ideas and initiatives, I have learned to release my attachment to specific outcomes. This act of surrendering has created a profound shift in the way I approach my businesses, allowing them to flow effortlessly and enabling me to operate from a place of intuition. By replacing force with flow, I have unlocked a newfound sense of freedom and creativity, fostering an environment where innovation and success naturally thrive.
What are your three words of advice?
As a seasoned entrepreneur and a visionary in the realm of creativity, I have distilled my wealth of experience into three powerful words of advice: perseverance, intuition, and faith. Perseverance in my unwavering determination and resilience to navigate the inevitable challenges and setbacks that come with building a business. It is the steadfast commitment to keep moving forward, even in the face of adversity. Intuition serves as my compass, guiding decision-making and fuelling innovative ideas. Trusting your instincts and tapping into your innate wisdom can lead to inspired solutions and unexpected opportunities. Finally, faith plays a crucial role in the entrepreneurial journey. It is my unshakeable belief in myself, my vision, and my ability to manifest dreams into reality. Faith nurtures the courage to take bold leaps, to trust the process, and to embrace uncertainty with unwavering optimism. These three guiding principles form my foundation for entrepreneurial success, empowering me to overcome obstacles, make wise choices, and manifest my aspirations with confidence and grace.
