Tell us a little something about your business...
My business is to teach people how to cut through the noise and trust their intuition. It’s a C-suite level skill but in the busyness, we often ignore it or, if we do hear it, we talk ourselves out of it. My business started partly out of frustration and partly because of my lightbulb moment (see below). I was frustrated with people who kept saying “trust your intuition”. When you’re lost, you’d love to trust your intuition but unfortunately, no one could tell me how to do that. So I set about trying to get connected to myself. I was studying spirituality and teaching yoga when I realized, I was so in tune with myself, I just knew things before they happened. I had a lightbulb moment and knew that I had to make this accessible so I developed an interactive program to teach it to organizations and individuals and here we are!
When was your lightbulb moment?
My lightbulb moment was when people started asking me “how I was doing that”. I had quit my job and was travelling. Everything was just working out perfectly for me and friends were asking how I “took such a leap of faith”. I explained to them that it wasn’t a leap of faith…that I was merely following the energy. When they asked further how I was doing that and if I could teach them this magic, I knew it was time to put what I was doing into words. That became the first ever intuition course and I didn’t even charge for it!
What are your three words of advice?
Authentically Go Forward
I love these words because it alludes to everything that most of us crave. We love forward motion…whether that’s business or personal growth and expansion. We want to go forward and rightfully so. We’re creators. But the authentically part always gets me. So many of us, myself included, tried to play the game and we put ourselves in boxes. That’s drastically changing. It’s time for authenticity. It’s time to really know ourselves and be aligned with who that person is (the whole of ourselves….even the parts we don’t love) as we do move forward.
