Tell us a little something about your business...
Kairos is solving one of the most expensive problems in the modern workplace, meetings!
*We believe* that life’s too short to waste it in unproductive, frustrating meetings that suck the energy out of the room.
*We know* that the hard work has already been done: Over 20 years of research and expert analysis went into how we can leverage meetings as a tool to accelerate organizational momentum and inclusive decision-making. Leveraging AI, we’re bottling up these facts and make them accessible to companies and their employees.
Leveraging the scientific research, our platform is specifically drawing on the expertise of Dr. Steven Rogelberg, the #1 leading organizational psychologist specializing in meeting effectiveness.
Built for teams that don’t have time to waste, Kairos helps meeting organizers by automating meeting preparation, providing tailored recommendations, and continuously optimizing the use of time across teams (or organization-wide) based on data and evidence-based metrics.
We get time is money, especially for fast growing businesses. That’s why we leverage our expertise + AI to cut meeting preparation to less than two minutes, allowing ANYONE to run worldclass meetings and ultimately, driving their teams toward success and growth.
We are passionate about helping teams thrive, and our commitment to continuous improvement ensures that our clients always have access to the latest tools and insights to elevate their meeting culture. Kairos is more than just a tool; it’s your digital mentor for running best-in-class meetings that inspire and empower.
Thank you for considering Kairos.
When was your lightbulb moment?
In a pretty traditional entrepreneurial fashion, I experienced the meeting problem as the VP of Operations in my last startup. As a time-intentional leader, meetings where we’re talking in circles or aren’t aligned on what the objective is are a massive trigger and pet peeve.
I took the “No Meeting Wednesday” one, admittedly drastic, step further and ended up resetting the entire company’s calendar in a big Meeting Jubilee event. Wasn’t very popular, but the team went along with it.
This helped free up our calendars … for a bit anyways … and have a fresh set of recurring meetings with a clear objective, agenda and reevaluated attendee list. However, just like any diet or juice cleanse, it wasn’t a silver bullet for solving the meeting problem.
Real change is hard. Real change requires education, discipline, persistence and time and energy.
After exiting the startup and reflecting on what’s next for me, Kairos was exactly what I wanted to do. Solving this massive problem in a way that makes it easy and quick-to-implement. Giving teams an alternative to unsuccessful policies and CEO announcements on “let’s have fewer meetings” that aren’t actionable.
TLDR, Kairos was born out of a deep desire to help other organizations avoid the pitfalls I’ve personally encountered and to enable them to thrive through better meetings.
What are your three words of advice?
Prioritize meaningful connections, ie: Surround yourself by great people, personally and professionally. I firmly believe this is the differentiator to live a fulfilling, happy life.
