Tell us a little something about your business...
As the President of Linked-Express and LinkedIn in High Heels: Rise Up and Lead Online, my mission is simple: To combine my love and knowledge of LinkedIn with my love for empowering diverse professionals (soft spot for women) to use LinkedIn as a way to find their voice, own their space, and become socially fearless. I speak, facilitate workshops, and conduct training all over the world. LinkedIn is such a powerful and complex tool, and when used right, it can offer so many people the opportunity to lead, to empower, and to build a powerful online community.
When was your lightbulb moment?
My desire to find my voice again came about in 2010. After paying a coffee forward to a LinkedIn Representative, I was introduced to some key people who would become mentors and help make my dream come true. LinkedIn gave me my voice back and I wanted to pay that forward. I build such an amazing online community and realized that the key to my LinkedIn success was grounded in learning the Art of Social Reciprocity. I became known as the LinkedIn SuperWoman spreading goodness and kindness around like confetti; the drive to spread and chase that dream is honestly what gets me up every morning.
