When was your lightbulb moment?
In 2022, when house prices skyrocketed, I watched buyers scramble to purchase homes the moment they hit the market—often without fully understanding the financial implications or the home-buying process. It wasn’t just a market trend; it was a rush that led to serious consequences for many. One family I knew was deeply affected. They bought a home without being guided through the process, without anyone taking the time to truly listen to their goals or explain what they were getting into. The result was devastating—they ended up in major debt, facing legal troubles, bankruptcy, and eventually losing their home.
This experience opened my eyes to the gaps in the real estate process and the emotional weight that comes with buying a home. So many people, especially first-time buyers and immigrants, feel the pressure to buy a home to prove something to society. But the truth is, everyone deserves the stability of homeownership at their own pace and on their own terms. I got into real estate to help people not just find any home, but the right home. A home that works for their life, their goals, and sets them on the path to financial stability and wealth-building.
What are your three words of advice?
Success is Personal.
I’ve had many jobs and careers that led me to where I am today. My parents always envisioned me becoming a lawyer, but after realizing that path wasn’t for me, I ended up managing a roofing business. I learned a lot during that time, and it eventually led me to the real estate industry, where I’ve found real happiness and fulfillment.
I may not fit the traditional definition of success in my parents’ eyes, especially within my Indian family where being a doctor or lawyer is highly valued. But I’ve realized that success isn’t about meeting someone else’s expectations. It’s about finding something that feels right for you.
My advice? Don’t measure success by someone else’s standards. Success is personal—find your own path.
