Tell us a little something about your business...
Growing up in an entrepreneurial household, taught me tenacity is the key to success. At the age of 10, my dad quit his job and opened a men’s clothing store. Through the years it expanded, and he was forever adapting to the environment that was placed in front of him. This came of great value, when 2020 hit. At the time I had 15 years experience in the financial services industry, and my focus was life insurance and critical illness insurance. Although I love this part of the industry, I wanted to get back to my roots and working with small businesses. Employee benefits has always been part of my offerings, but I wanted to expand and focus. So, in 2022, Benefits Redesigned was created.
When was your lightbulb moment?
The past few years has had businesses re-evaluate many aspects of their business, and employee benefits are coming up at the top of the to-do list. Businesses struggle to hire and/or retain talent. This is where I come into the picture. I love educating businesses of the many options they may not be aware of in the employee benefits area. Many businesses I work with have saved money, received more value, and increased moral with employees.
What are your three words of advice?
Integrity – is my most import value when meeting people and how I do business. Empower – By empowering others, they will grow. There’s nothing better than seeing others grow, by your advice. Collaboration – It takes a village to raise a child. This goes in business too. By collaborating with others, we build better solutions for our customers. Never give up. Every morning is a new day, to either keep going or start again.
