Transformation Guide, Heidi Smith

Tell us a little something about your business...

All my life I have been on a personal development journey. I had no idea that one day I would be able to use all I had learned in a new career helping others. In every job I’ve had there has always been a teaching component to the work I did whether it was teaching people how to play blackjack, explaining how to use a cell phone or answering questions about client investments. After an epiphany at age 50 about an intense experience from my childhood, I chose to begin a career as a transformation guide to help others make monumental shifts in their lives. It’s never too late to open up to more happiness and love. In my book “Making Friends With The Boogeyman: Transforming Tragedy Into Triumph” I share my personal journey along with coaching exercises to help others improve their experience. Whatever has happened in the past, you can free yourself and live your dreams.

When was your lightbulb moment?

The moment I examined an intense experience from my childhood looking for the good that came out of it. It blew my mind to realize a lot of good things came out of that tragedy. I had never thought about it in quite that way. I used to think that some things were just too terrible to find anything good in them. Now I realize I can find good in anything. I have the power to change the way I think about anything and that transforms my experience.

What are your three words of advice?

Better is possible.
Hope is a powerful motivator. Through all the darkest times in my life I aways believed that things would get better. That gave me the strength necessary to move through my challenges.

Three words of advice...

Better is possible
