When was your lightbulb moment?

I made a vow in 2013, almost a decade ago, experienced an early morning attack, not far from my townhouse, by a young man who overpowered me holding a gun and I realized I still have so many lives to impact and my 20-year-old daughter would not cope making major decisions for her life without me. The attack was a lightbulb moment for me to let my light shine and impact women everywhere as a Transformational speaker and coach.

What are your three words of advice?

• Give yourself permission to succeed.
• Attitude is everything.
• Fail forward
