As an Area Executive Vice President in the retail brokerage division she drives revenue and contributes to marketing strategies. Lisa also serves as NYC Ambassador for SheEO, a group of radically generous women creating a new economic model.

Tell us a little something about your business...
After many years working for a large corporation I realized that my life was focused on corporate goals rather than personal goals. My priorities were growth, profit and expense management rather than my passion priorities of mentorship, relationship building and non-profit work. My experience was insurance and my passion was helping others. What would I do after retirement? I would find a more purposeful life!
Gallagher Insurance Brokers offered me that opportunity. At Gallagher I leverage 30+ years of insurance experience to help entrepreneurs, women led ventures and non-profits secure the insurance coverage they need to protect their hard work, their business, their human capital and their well-being. As a broker my number one goal is to protect a client’s business and personal assets! I help navigate the process of purchasing or renewing insurance and removing the unfriendly and burdensome steps of the transaction. With a talented team we get to know each client, understand their needs and secure the best coverage for their risk. I feel like I am paying it forward when a client says “thank you for being supportive!” It takes resilience and perseverance to recreate yourself. Along the way you realize that others are watching. The best part of this story is that many wonderfully talented young professionals are watching. They are reaching out seeking support and finding an authentic mentor. Someone who will not judge, will not deliver the corporate message and will always remind them that it is ok to be human. It is ok to be vulnerable and be your authentic self. With each of those inspiring conversations I have received the joy of watching people grow more confident and achieve success in many ways. And with all of this there is more time to give back. To participate on non-profit boards and translate years of business experience into guidance for those who lead with their hearts every day. Wow what a profoundly purposeful life I live today!
When was your lightbulb moment?
My awakening arrived when I encountered a setback. While it didn’t feel good at the time it made me reflect upon what was most important to me and that was paying it forward. My resilience muscle was put to the test but I worked it hard every day. Along the way I was introduced to SheEO – an organization whose credo is radical generosity. “If you were surrounded by radically generous women would you act and feel differently?” Wow – first I have never been in that environment so with enthusiasm I jumped in. It has been life changing!!! Surrounding yourself with radically generous women gives you strength, puts air in your lungs and a smile on your face. Thank you SheEO for helping me find the real me!
What are your three words of advice?
Love yourself. Be authentic and don’t listen to the critics – you can’t please everyone!
