We'd like to share a few FAQ's on the Global Micro Marketing Grants
1) Do I have to be part of the SYS Community to apply?
No, you do not have to participate in our guest blog, podcast or quarterly networking events to apply, however, we recommend you do participate in the platform. With approx. 500,000 visitors to the website annually it is a great way to increase your visibility, encourage collaboration and connect with the community. The SYS website is free, there is no cost to participate.
2) Why is there a $25.00 USD administration fee?
We want to invest in business owners who invest in themselves. Upon completion of your application a complementary self study workshop will be provided:”The Art of Standing Out Without Bragging + What is Your Elevator Story? Sponsored by Alexis Gladstone, Intelead and Trish Tonaj, Phaze2inc. Valued at $50.00 USD. This is a win-win strategy and one we feel best suits the SYS Community.
3) If I’m chosen as a finalist what are next steps?
If you’re chosen as a finalist…
You will be contacted to create a 1 min video sent to our team within 5 business days describing you and your business. There will be an A/V release which you will sign and return which gives us permission to share your video and post throughout social media. The video will be found not only on social but as part of the library on the our YouTube Channel. Business Mentorship; Keepin’ It Real. You may invite as many colleagues or family members as you wish to attend our virtual event.

4) How do I receive the grant funds?
We send wire transfers from Canada. Funds are sent in December after the awards and networking ceremony. There are two grants of $2,500 USD and winners are announced annually at our on-line event. As long as you’re able to receive a wire transfer from Canada you may apply. There is no charge to attend the on-line Global Awards and Networking Event. Visit our “Events” page to register.
5) Please explain the mentor program?
Mentors are from the SYS Community, thought leaders and industry experts who share their expertise as part of the grant program. Mentorship starts in January and is for the entire year. Once per month, you will be introduced to a mentor for a 1 hour call. There are 12 mentors in the program and you’ll connect directly with each to confirm a convenient date/time to meet on-line. You will be required to provide a testimonial on your experience which will be shared in our monthly newsletter.
