Cindy Meghory

After many years in corporate I saw the higher I climbed the less fulfilled I was. I began my Arbonne business as a side gig as a way to start building an asset for my family, not my boss’. Without any background in the health and wellness sector or in sales for that matter, I jumped in and learned the true meaning of mentorship through my leaders who continue to offer guidance. Because of my Arbonne business I built a safety net that gave me the courage to leave my corporate comfort zone and to finally have a vehicle that allows me to help others looking for more.   Connect with Cindy here and for more information on Arboone click here!

Tell us a little something about your business...

As a former corporate executive and now passionate entrepreneur I occupy space in the health & wellness sector. I market clean, pure products that people use everyday from beauty to skincare to nutrition & wellness products and from babies to healthy aging. Over the past 17 years, I’ve built a loyal client base that orders online when they choose with the products directly delivered to them from our local warehouse. We currently operate in 6 countries with expansion plans coming over the next few years. The additional and I must say best, component of my business is that I get to coach & mentor others who are looking for a way to add a secondary stream of income, on a part-time, flexible basis, the same way I started.
The company whose products I market has been in business for 43 years and is arguably, the original clean health & wellness company. Our parent company – Groupe Roche from France – has a long history and flair for innovative, pharmaceutical-grade, botanically based products.

I believe my business is perfectly positioned for the future for a few reasons: from Gen Z to Baby Boomers – each generation is looking for cleaner, safer products (with good reason); I’m part of a 1.5 trillion dollar global wellness industry which continues to grow; the ingredient standards to which we adhere are unlike any other company (we ban over 2,000 ingredients); clients enjoy the benefits of the efficient business model of on-line ordering & finally we offer an income opportunity with no experience necessary as an option for those so inclined.

While 17 years has passed, I feel as charged, excited and positive about my business as I did when I started!

When was your lightbulb moment?

Having built a successful corporate career, my light bulb moment happened the day after I was promoted to Vice President of that company. I realized that regardless of my title, while the pay and benefits were great, they could be temporary as long as I was working for someone else. There were so many factors outside of my control that could have a complete and devastating impact on my job security. (I believe the business cycle we’re currently experiencing is presenting the same challenges for many.) While entrepreneurship is not without its obstacles, knowing that my boss is now the person I see in the mirror and knowing that I can control for whom, when and how I work, gives me great comfort and is a benefit to which I couldn’t even try to attach a price!

What are your three words of advice?

“Comfort zones are the antithesis of growth” I wish someone would have said that to me at the time I was struggling with boredom & lethargy in my corporate job.
“Do your research” Get honest, un-biased information on what it is you’re looking to do. Asses it as objectively as possible and ask a mentor with experience for their unbiased opinions.
“Be solution-oriented” Regardless of how daunting some obstacles may seem, have an attitude that there is always a solution for every problem and you will find the best one!

Three words of advice...

Growth / Open-mindedness/ Serve others to prosper
