Tell us a little something about your business...
As a speaker, author and executive coach I focus on human potential and peak performance, but my superpower is providing clarity. At a micro level it’s my divine mandate to empower others, while on a macro level it is my dharma to collectivity raise the greater consciousness of the world through connection and collaboration. We all have an innate power to create our reality but, we must choose to do the inner work and follow the signs. I didn’t choose this type of work; the truth is it chose me.
When was your lightbulb moment?
On April 24th, 2010, I woke up feeling tired, hungover and depressed. I had played a show the night before and more and more pieces of my nights were starting to go missing when I drank. I couldn’t remember how I got home or even performing my third set of music. It was my first time not remembering my show. I struggled with alcohol for over a decade and it was affecting my health, homelife and work. As I sat there on the floor the next morning with my son Timothy, I felt defeated. Timothy was 14 months old and wanted me to play with him. I couldn’t give him the energy or attention that he deserved. Looking into my son’s eyes, my why for making a change was bigger than my usual excuses for not doing so. I simply couldn’t continue with my hard-living lifestyle, so that day I asked for help from a higher power and somehow surrendered the struggle on a deeper level.
What are your three words of advice?
First, take time to be still daily while learning to following your intuition. Second, follow your dreams with obsessive desire and unwavering belief. Thirdly, fear will always be there, but you must learn how to use the fear to fuel you.
