The National Association of Local Businesses – Assisting local business owners to be more Profitable, Productive and Promoted

Tell us a little something about your business...

In 2010, customers for our Digital Sign Advertising businesses were calling and asking “what’s a tweet, and how do we use Facebook,” so we developed one of the first Social Media Management Companies, posting content, responding to review and building Google Pages so businesses could get found online. Over the next 6 years we developed and offered 80 digital services, including Social Media Management on all Social and Review sites, Listing services, Reputation Management, Review Responses, Website Design, SEO, Advertising on all platforms becoming a “full service” digital agency. In 2018, we realized the need to “differentiate” ourselves from the masses cheapening the quality in the industry, and spent 2 years bringing together 50 top quality product and service providers, to create the National Association of Local Businesses. Today we provide our members FREE membership in the association and access to over 100 top quality Products and Services, at discounted pricing, normally reserved for much larger companies. Through our collective buying power, our members can be more Profitable, Productive and Promoted to more local customers.

We are building our business through local representation, we call Ambassadors, who introduce the Association to local businesses, engage them to get acquainted, learn about their business and possible needs and then (if warranted) direct them to a suitable solution where the “service provider” does the “selling”. So our Ambassadors don’t have to know 100 product details. Our Ambassadors receive residual commissions for the life of the members they enroll.

When was your lightbulb moment?

As a local business owner, I knew that all local businesses had the same issue, working “in” their business, vs. “on” their business. Most business owners don’t have the time, know-how or ability to be consistent with social media or marketing and definitely don’t “keep up with” the ever changing and advancing technologies that make businesses more productive. Spending time with salespeople is always seen as “unproductive” and if they had a trusted advisor, they would have more time to work “in” their business. That’s where NAOLB comes in… to ensure that the stand alone business can get great pricing to increase profits, be a go to resource for productivity ideas learned from other local business owners and offer techniques and systems to increase their exposure to more local customers.

What are your three words of advice?

Profitability – Businesses need to always be focused on the bottom line.

Productivity – Being efficient and minimizing activity, with increased results

Promotion – Having automated systems that create a steady stream of new and repeat customers

Three words of advice...

Profitability, Productivity, Promotion
